Peer Review Process

Peer Review Process

Kalyana Bhumi: Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat (Journal of Community Service) implements a double- blind peer review process to ensure the quality, integrity, and originality of published papers. This review process is intended to maintain rigorous academic standards while demonstrating fairness and transparency in the publishing process.

  1. Initial Submission and Editorial Screening
  • Submitted manuscripts are first screened by the editorial team to ensure compliance with the journal's focus, scope, formatting requirements, and ethical guidelines.
  • Manuscripts that do not meet the basic criteria may be rejected immediately or returned to the author for revision before further processing.
  1. Double Blind Peer Review
  • Manuscripts that pass the initial screening will be sent to at least two independent reviewers who are experts in the relevant field.
  • Both authors and reviewers remain anonymous throughout the editorial process to maintain objectivity.
  • Reviewers evaluate manuscripts on the basis of originality, methodological rigor, significance of contributions, clarity of presentation, and adherence to ethical standards.
  1. Reviewer Recommendations

Based on input from the reviewers, reviewed manuscripts will receive one of the following decisions:

  • Accepted – Minor revisions or no revisions required.
  • Revisions required – Minor revisions are required and will be accepted upon satisfactory changes.
  • Major Revision – Substantial improvements are required and must be resubmitted for further review.
  • Rejected – The manuscript is deemed not to meet the journal's quality or relevance standards.
  1. Revisions and Final Decision
  • Authors are given a period of time to revise their manuscripts based on comments from the reviewers.
  • Revised manuscripts may be re-evaluated by the original reviewers or the editorial team.
  • The Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision on which manuscripts will be published based on the recommendations of the reviewers and editorial assessment.
  1. Publication
  • Accepted articles will undergo a final proofreading and formatting process before publication.

Once everything is ready, the articles are published in the latest issue of the journal and made available online with a DOI ( Digital Object Identifier ) for academic referencing purposes.
